Firstly, a huge thank you to everyone that donated or bought raffle tickets for our fundraising pledge drive - the prizes are with the winners, and we got around $2,800 of the $3,000 target, so that will go towards new writers, expanding our coverage of the city’s nightlife and the freelance budget for the next year or so - sincerely, thank you so much.

It’s tough for producers in the slow summer months, so you’re doing a heroic service if you get out to see shows right now. There are some great ones this week, and I’d love to see you at Godless on Saturday night (10.30pm/AllWays Lounge, discount ticket offer up top) - it’s my temporary farewell to New Orleans for a while, as I head to the UK to give some family support.
