New Orleans is nothing if not creative in a crisis. Remember when a sink hole the size of a swimming pool opened up on Canal and within about four hours people were dancing around it and calling it ‘sinkhole de Mayo’? It’s how it goes here. We can’t have parades? OK, let’s decorate houses to look like floats and people can parade past them in their own time and in relative safety. Creative in a crisis. It’s one of the best things about this city.
There’s other events that you can safely attend, both online and mindfully, out in the world. This week you can hit up a distanced drag brunch, or watch Drag Race UK with some witty queens, or if you’re out and about today, you can help Remy Dee (pictured) celebrate her ten years in the burlesque biz as she performs at the wonderfully cheeky AllWays Lounge Peep Show (4pm-8pm today, Thursday 28th).
Speaking of Remy Dee, she’s the Members’ Area star this week, offering up an homage to Pee-wee Herman that would definitely change the rating of any of his movies. Also check out Remy’s Instagram and OnlyFans for more sexy tomfoolery. You too can get access to our quickly-growing archive of great content for less than $1 a week - all money coming in goes to licensing content from hard-hit performers in and around the NOLA area so please consider becoming a patron!
We’re expanding and improving the site slowly but surely! There’s updated video content on the front page and you can check our ‘added extras’ page for memes and other fun stuff that we update a couple of times a week. Also, if you have anything to advertise - events/websites/businesses - then get in touch (upallnightnola@gmail.com) and we can let you know about our great rates for connecting with our growing community of almost 3,000 people! We’re also on Instagram for regular updates!
Thank you as always for reading and for your support! Have a safe and fun Carnival season! Much love,
