It’s finally here! After two years, Mardi Gras celebrations are back in New Orleans. You don’t need us to tell you, you’re probably knee-deep in throws already, glitter smeared on your face, Scarface style, as you cajole your body into those last few days of hedonism. There’s not much for us to add, really, apart from the list of amazing shows and dance parties that are happening if you need a haven from the clamoring parade routes.
****Up All Night: New Orleans is hosting TWO free, post-parade dance parties! Come and join us after Morpheus on Friday 25th from 9pm at The Domino, or on Saturday 26th after Endymion at Twelve Mile Limit! Pop and disco anthems, club and synth classics! Ariana and Dua and Kylie and Lizzo and Madonna and Beyonce and Gaga and Robyn and...much, much more. No cover!****
The week’s shows are worthy of the occasion, and include The Vivacious Burlesque Experience stepping up to the big stage of The Joy (pictured), A Pokemon-themed drag show, a night of leather and latex, those spectacular Sisters of Saint Claude and a spectacular fundraiser for LGBTQ seniors in New Orleans that’s well worth your attention. These and all your Mardi Gras week’s diversions are all listed here!
Whatever your week looks like, have a wonderfully fun and safe time, and we’ll see you once the city-wide hangover has hopefully cleared, just after (tr)Ash Wednesday. Wishing you the happiest Mardi Gras, and as ever, much love.
