Vamps and Valentines
First of all, a huge thanks to everyone that came out to the KS ‘Oh My Gawds!’ party last weekend. It was so great to see everyone in person again, and we’re sincerely grateful to everyone who attended for making an extra effort, resulting in an event that was as safe as it was sexy. It’s a big old weekend for events in the city. Saturday sees the long-awaited return for Krewe de Vieux, a traditional kickstart to the build up to Mardi Gras. This year it just precedes Valentine’s Day, meaning that the weekend is chock full of suitably seductive shows, including - but not limited to - the much-loved Fleur de Tease Valentines Review at the new Toulouse Theater.
Maybe it’s because Interview With A Vampire AND Renfield (with Nicholas Cage) are both filming in town, but there’s a decidedly Transylvanian twist to some of the shows this week, with both the Vampyre Cabaret and Sundown Striptease’s ‘Love Bites Back’ celebrating the season with fang-focused frolics.
