Hi - before anything, Happy Pride. Have a fun and safe month of celebrations wherever you are (geographically and spiritually…). We’re here as we have been almost every week for the last five years, with 66 shows listed - some fantastic events are happening, so check them out.
We want to carry on doing this, and so we’d ask you to please consider helping us out.
It’s been a year since we last asked for help - along with our sister publication, Out All Day, last year we raised $4,000, just enough to pay people to review shows, write features and interview folk around the city for a year. Hopefully we’re doing what I set out to do: put money in the pockets of local performers, producers and writers and elevate events in the city that maybe can’t afford huge marketing budgets. I’d like to try and raise $5,000 this year, to pay more people and cover more events. All money raised throughout June goes into that budget; I work unpaid for several hours every week - happily! - to put this all together.
Every donation is an entry into our prize draw, and we have a $200 gift voucher (which gets $100 bigger for every $1,000 we raise) and a bunch of rewards for helping us out.
