I was thinking back to the dark days of 2021, when we struggled to list 20 shows happening in New Orleans on any given week. This week we’re proud to list around 60 burlesque, drag and variety shows across the city (yes, including a Golden Girls musical) and that’s something to be incredibly happy about. Producers are coming off that summer slump, so consider getting out and supporting our lovely performer community!
We’ve made some small changes in the listings to help you plan your nights out - days are now split into featured and regular weekly shows, and we’ve arranged them in chronological order, so that you can plot a night out and see multiple shows.
As always, we include ticket links with each show listing if they’re available, so it’s really a one-stop shop! I’m a one-man show here, so I do try and get to writing features and interviews, but life doesn’t always allow for it - I promise I’ll try to do more of this. Anyway, check out the new look, full-to-bursting week’s nightlife listings!
Please have a look at our sister site Out All Day for daytime arts and culture news - this week we review The Bywater Museum of Unnatural History, Indian restaurant Tava, the movie See How They Run and there’s a new column of true New Orleans stories.
ALSO! Follow us on Twitter (Up All Night / Out All Day) and Instagram if that’s your kind of thing.
OK, that’s it for now. Have a great week, and much love to you and yours, wherever you are.
