WE HAVE LESS THAN ONE WEEK LEFT IN OUR SILENT AUCTION!
All money raised will go to paying local writers to bring you better coverage of the city over the next 12 months. Some big ticket items still are at their reserves, some $20 items are going cheap and there’s everything in between! Please take a look at our generously-donated set of prizes, you have five days left to place your bid and help us grow and operate for the next year.
Much of the city is still all about where the jazzdads sing going into the second weekend of Jazz Fest, but your nightlife options are as good as ever. This week alone, you can see everything from vampire cabarets to burlesque/boylesque shows celebrating both Latin and Black excellence. In among the 60+ highlighted events, there’s also dance parties from goth nights to a celebration of excellent local dance music promoter, Pleasure Savior.
Plan your week in nightlife - click on the full seven day diary here.
We also went to the first night of the UNO production of the Pet Shop Boy’s musical, Closer To Heaven - you can still catch it this weekend, read our review right here.
Thanks again for considering helping us out via the silent auction - it will mean we can get more locals writing for us, and we can support our local performer community even more, meaning more and better shows, so a win-win for everyone.
Have a great week, and as always, much love.
