First of all, thank you to everyone who bid on items in our fundraising silent auction - we raised enough to run Up All Night and Out All Day for six months or so, commissioning new local writers, and we’re excited to grow! A huge slice of sincere gratitude from me.
Over 60 shows in our listings this week, including Vivacious Miss Audacious lighting up the big stage at The Joy with her TECHNICOLOR burlesque show (pictured), Pretie Boi’s Battle Royale, and Angie Z’s all-singing, all-shimmering My Heart Belongs to Daddy. Your shows for the next seven days listed right here.
Moral Panic is a superb comedy showcase, this month being guest hosted by the hilarious Laura Sanders, her comedy special once topping the Apple comedy charts and an all-round god damn delight. See her and special guests light up the AllWays Lounge this Saturday night. Tickets here.
Also back the AllWays Lounge but a week on Saturday: Get Your Brits Out. it’s a Very British Burlesque Show presented by Up All Night and Pinky DeVille. The show stars Lady Midnight, Dinah DeVille, Eros Sea, GiGi Deluxe, Christopher Robin, Nkechi Chibueze and Queen Vampya. Tickets here.
Finally, to help us fundraise, Naughty In N’awlins have donated a pass to all of their events (July 4th-9th), with a value of well over $700 (accommodation excluded) We’ll do a silent auction: if you want to bid, we’ll take offers up to two weeks today (3/25). Email upallnightnola@gmail.com with your bid, let’s say the reserve is $100. Many thanks to them.
Thank you so much for your support, we’ll be rolling out more content over the next few weeks, with new voices. If you fancy yourself a writer, we love features about New Orleans nightlife or show reviews - pitch us at upallnightnola@gmail.com. Marginalized/new voices to the front, but we’ll look at all of your ideas.
OK, have a great weekend whatever you’re doing, and much love to you and yours.
