Among the many things that we’re missing out on this year in New Orleans is opening up the old costume closet (do we ever really close them, though?) and putting together a look that’s going make strangers on the street stop and take a photo. You’re right - nothing to stop us doing that at home and taken our own damn photos, we’re just missing the parades that would be hitting the streets about now. Next year is something worth staying safe and healthy for, though!
In the meantime, there’s a week’s worth of virtual and distanced in-person events for you in the new listings. We’ve also expanded the front page to include video content for everyone from some of our city’s performing talent!
Speaking of costumes and talent, Xena Zeit-Geist (pictured) is one of the most creative costumers in town, and members this week can see a round-up of some of her most evocative looks. Also check out her amazing OnlyFans page and Instagram pages!
As always, we rely on donations and membership subscriptions to licence content from our lovely local performers. Please consider helping us out - all of the money goes to people just trying to get by without any place to perform right now. Thank you so much!
We also have an Instagram account now, so give us a follow, and check back to the front page for more video content and more as the week progresses. That’s all for this week - enjoy your king cake and home costuming and we’ll throw you something again this time next week.
Much love,
Up All Night NOLA
