Easter weekend is always a special time in New Orleans, even though this year we’re without the unofficial queen of the season, Chris Owens, may she rest in glitter-lined peace. There’s still so many Easter eggs to enjoy, though, not least an entire drag show dedicated to the man of the hour, Jesus Christ. Some notable big openings (calm yourselves) take to the stage, too - a spanking new musical from celebrated composer Trey Ming called ‘Fairyland’, and what promises to be an equally exciting debut from the recently-formed Krewe de Kink, who debut a new ball at the Toulouse Theater (also RIP to theater owner Rio…damn, we’re sadly losing some big names in NOLA entertainment lately). What else? A bug-themed cabaret, a weed-themed cabaret, and your favorite nerd-friendly, immersive shows with both Feys Gone Wild AND Roll For Seduction (pictured) happening over the weekend. In short, Easter gifts to suit all tastes, and you can find the entire week’s listings right here as always.
Have a wonderful time whatever your plans, and we’ll see you on the other side of the Easter weekend. Much love to you.
