Our most sincere and suitably fawning apologies for the slightly late arrival in your lovely inbox this afternoon. Up All Night Towers had an appointment to be good citizens and file our taxes, almost like we’re real grown ups. Obviously the Swiss bank accounts and cellars crammed full of gold ingots take some explaining down at H&R Block, but we’re nothing if not honest. We can totally write off all the dollar bills we throw at people in no clothes, right? Professional expenses come in all stripes, so come at us, IRS! (p.s. please don’t come at us, IRS).
Speaking of throwing dollars at nude performers, there’s a joyously spring-like mix to the events this week, listed as aways on a handy web page right here. The Psychedelic Speakeasy returns to the, er, speakeasy, a mesmerising monthly that’s quickly becoming one of the city’s most exciting shows. A brace of drag aces also complement the weekend, with a loving retrospective at the Sisters of St Claude and the Bohemian bending of Royal Court, both on Friday night.
There are so many upcoming shows, as well, so start to fill those diaries, folks, New Orleans is (very cautiously and still masking-ly) back, baby! Have a wonderful week, enjoy the weather between the terrifying 2am thunderstorms and as always, mucho, mucho amor from here!
